“quoteByTemplate” and “quoteByProduct” services are available to provide an indicative pay later offer based on a given amount, without creating a payment request.
These services are recommended for use cases where a customer may be using a Merchant interface where the Customer can change the amount they will be asked to pay (e.g. adding/removing from a shopping cart after viewing a total price on a payment page, or similar scenarios).
Using the quote services will prevent many unnecessary payment requests being created on the Merchant account.
